And every meal that an animal has in a shelter means that they're one step closer to adoption. This also helps out the shelters by lowering costs.

Just ask Buddy, who was at the Woonsocket Cat Sanctuary and was afraid of people. He was also afraid to eat wet food and the shelter was worried that he was too skiddish to get adopted. About a week after Paws for Life came to the shelter with donations, Buddy got adopted and learned to eat wet food. Dog Orphans Humane Society- Wish List Link

Dog Orphans, Inc., was founded over 40 years ago by a small group of animal lovers dedicated to saving dogs from pain and suffering. We house stray, homeless and unwanted dogs until suitable permanent homes are found.We teach and promote the importance of responsible dog ownership including spaying and neutering. We do this without considering euthanasia unless a dogs health or temperament is seriously compromised.We are located on three acres of Douglas woodlands and have accommodations such as indoor playroom, a comfy dog friendly office, spacious indoor/outdoor runs and a fenced-in play yard!

The Woonsocket Cat Sanctuary is a 501c3, non-profit, private,  no-kill shelter that supports the health, safety and welfare of homeless cats in the Woonsocket area, and promotes public awareness of the problems related to cat over-population.
